The chatbot also uses a technique called few-shot prompting, which allows the chatbot to quickly learn how to respond to new prompts with only a few examples. In order to get the ChatGPT bots to stay in character, the model instructions and prompts need to be carefully worded and executed. In this article, we will focus on the prompt engineering and training behind the conversational AI dialogue, as well as strategies I implemented to generate human-like behavior from the chatbots. My responsibilities were focused on prompt engineering and getting the ChatGPT characters to output coherent, interesting, and sometimes witty responses.
